Jan Wahlberg took these photos of
Ebbe Parnestål's H2 racer at Bulltofta, when Ebbe was about to spend 5.50
seconds going down the 1/8 mile. Terminal speed was 201 km/h. Note the pneumatic
gearchange, the extra bearing for the crankshaft end and the bulky expansion
chambers (obviously for straight-line use only). The engine runs on pure petrol,
no NOS or other artificial intelligence, and all porting is performed by EBOS
HIGH PERFORMANCE. Since these pictures was taken, Ebbe has made 5.401 seconds on the 1/8 mile strip. |
